5 Top Tips For Getting In Shape For Summer

1. Start early

It sounds very simple but the earlier you start the more time you have to get to the shape you would like to. If your following a structured, healthy plan you could expect to lose around two pounds per week. This means that if you wanted to loose a stone for your holiday this year it would take around seven weeks to get ready (fourteen pounds in a stone).

2. Track what you’re doing

This includes tracking your training, your nutrition and ideally taking photos to track visual progress. Unless you know exactly what you are currently doing its going to be very hard to know what to change to increase the amount of fat you lose. The more things you track, the more things you are in control of.

3. Set realistic goals

It’s very important to set goals. It’s just as important to make sure that they’re realistic. If you set goals which are unlikely to be achieved then you will become demotivated very quickly. Set yourself both long-term and short-term goals in order to hold yourself to account and to keep yourself motivated.

4. Make it fit in with your lifestyle

If you can create habits that fit into your lifestyle you are much more likely to be able to stick to it long term. Anyone can loose weight with an extreme diet. The reason why most people gain weight again after is that it was a short term fix. If you create good habits that fit your lifestyle you can make it last long-term.

5. Follow a structured plan

Find a plan online or work with a coach to streamline the process and take the guess work out of it. everyone wants to make progress as quick as possible. Doing things perfectly from the start will ensure that you’re not wasting time when you’re trying to lose weight.
